Frequently Asked Questions
How many Ekadashis occur in 2026?
There are 24 Ekadashis in the year 2026 across the 12 lunar months. Each month contains two Ekadashis: one in the Krishna Paksha (waning moon) and one in the Shukla Paksha (waxing moon).
Why is Parana timing critical?
In Vedic philosophy, if an Ekadashi fast is not broken within the Dwadashi Parana window, the spiritual benefit of the vrata is lost according to the Padma Purana. Additionally, breaking fast during Hari Vasara must be strictly avoided.
