कालोऽस्मि लोकक्षयकृत्प्रवृद्धो लोकान्समाहर्तुमिह प्रवृत्तः। ऋतेऽपि त्वां न भविष्यन्ति सर्वे येऽवस्थिताः प्रत्यनीकेषु योधाः॥
kālo 'smi loka-kṣaya-kṛt pravṛddho lokān samāhartum iha pravṛttaḥ ṛte 'pi tvāṁ na bhaviṣyanti sarve ye 'vasthitāḥ pratyanīkeṣu yodhāḥ

मैं सम्पूर्ण लोकों का नाश करने वाला महाकाल हूँ, जो इस समय इन लोकों का संहार करने के लिए प्रवृत्त हुआ हूँ। तुम्हारे युद्ध न करने पर भी प्रतिपक्षी सेनाओं में खड़े हुए ये समस्त योद्धा जीवित नहीं रहेंगे।
English Translation
I am all-powerful Time (Kala), the great destroyer of the worlds, engaged here in extinguishing these beings. Even without your participation, none of the warriors assembled in the opposing ranks shall escape death.
