Sankhya Yoga (The Yoga of Knowledge)
The Yoga of Transcendent Analytical Knowledge
na jāyate mriyate vā kadācin nāyaṁ bhūtvā bhavitā vā na bhūyaḥ ajo nityaḥ śāśvato 'yaṁ purāṇo na hanyate hanyamāne śarīre
(Hindi Translation)
English Translation
The soul is neither born, nor does it ever die; nor having once existed, does it ever cease to be. The soul is unborn, eternal, immortal, and timeless. It is not destroyed when the body is destroyed.
Understanding the Deeper Wisdom of Verse 2.20
The supreme declaration of consciousness beyond physical biology. The physical body undergoes the sixfold transformations of birth, growth, aging, and dissolution, but the witnessing awareness (Atman) remains eternally untouched.
Practical Life Application for Modern Living
Recognize that your deepest self is not your aging body or fleeting anxiety. You are the timeless awareness that observes all thoughts and bodily sensations.
